We did it last year, and we're doing it again, irregardless of the fact that possession, distribution and cultivation of the wondrous weed continues to be subject to punishment in every state of the union, including our own. If you share our sentiments about this state of affairs, and would like to stand up and be counted, you can do so simply by checking off your permission on the entry blank to allow us to add your name to the petition we'll be forwarding to your elected representatives in Lansing.

Back to the contest, however - in addition to the grand prize, you'll have a shot at a long list of over 100 other prizes provided through more conventional channels (check the list on this page). Winners will be drawn on March 31, 1976, by State Representative Jackie Vaughn of Detroit, and by a prominent local media personality whose identity shall temporarily remain a secret (at least until our kick-off press conference on Monday!). This latter person will also verify that the winner gets the lb.

So, as Iffy sez, don't delay another minute! Cut yourself in on the fun, strike a blow for legal weed, and place your name in contention for the grand prize in the second annual Michigan Pottery!

How to enter the contest... Simply fill out the handy coupon on the right and slip it in the mail to The SUN. Dept. C. PO Box 7217, Detroit 48202. Or stop by our Detroit office in the Leland House, at Cass and Bagley in downtown Detroit, or our Ann Arbor office al 603 E. William St.

Support Progressive Weed Laws... The Michigan legislature is seriously considering making possession of small amounts of weed, up to 3.2 ounces, a non-criminal misdemeanor incurring na more than a $100 fine.

State Representative Jackie Vaughn of Detroit has another bill before the lawmakers which would completely legalize marijuana and all drugs. (For an explanation of why The SUN. supports this step, see page 2 of this issue).

You can make your support for either or both of these pieces of progressive legislation known by simply checking the appropriate boxes in the entry blank.

Subscribe to the SUN... Make sure you get every issue of The SUN's unique new analysis, cultural coverage, entertainment calendar, et. al Start the SUN coming your way right now by placing a check in the proper box and including your $5.50 payment for one year.
