The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has attached a special amendment to the Foreign Military Aid Authorization Bill which will cut off all military Aid to Countries which prohibit American News-people from entering U.S. overseas Bases. Until this bill is passed it is impossible for newspapers to report to the American people on the extent of US military activities at foreign bases.

In Thailand news personnel are refused admittance to American bases on the grounds that the Thai government will not allow it. The Thai bases are a major point for the B-52 bombers which daily rain death on Indochina. If the bill passes it will be the first time the American people will be able to know the extent of the Amerikan air war in Indochina.
