Voice Of The People
VOICE of the PEOPLE
Question: What do you think about the Ann Arbor Sun? What do you like, not like, and can you suggest any improvements?
Lost Dog, card carrying street freak: "I dig it. I like the articles in the middle because they have the prettiest colors. The SUN should come wrapped around a bottle of wine of the buyers choice."
Al: "It's not bad. I like the radical articles they have in it. Now and then they drop something in it about some brothers and sisters, and that's the part I dig."
Marleene Primavera, folksinger: "l'd like to see more poetry and more local people's writings, to give local people a chance to get things published. It's kind of hard."
Catherine, Nursing and Dance student: "It's a nice paper. It keeps me up on what's going on as I generally don't read newspapers that much. Sometimes I think it is a bit exaggerated. I liked the article on the crater dig- it was fair, and I was really surprised she was really honest about all of it."
Kelly Woods, retail store manager: "It's not newsy enough, it's not pertinent. It's a B-job. I would like to write for them, because I want other people to read good colloquial structure, good language and composition. Can you dig that? I would write what the people want to hear: Sex, Religion, Politics and Work."
This weeks Voice of the People was recorded at last Sunday's Free Concert by Mike Fitzpatrick and Linda Ross.
