HOUSING! HOUSING! HOUSING! The People's Housing Committee wants you to help them deal with the stone age old question about housing. We need to think of clean, cheap, alternative housing for all people. We meet on Fridays at 1 pm at Mark's Coffeehouse on William St. So stop on by and share your ideas and information.

Where is the Tribal Council Meeting this week? Does City Council start at 7:30? Where can I go for abortion information? Where can I get my car fixed for cheap? The answer to this and many other questions can be found at 663-4208. This is the number of the newly opened Tribal Network which is hoping to be able to supply you with all the information it can. It's a referral service, a community calendar, ride switchboard and will evolve into a communication center for the Rainbow community. Want to help? You can by calling the Tribal Network with any information you may have about services, events and news stories. Or you can stop on by at 502 E. Washington and check out how it works and sign up for a phone shift.

A people's band from Tecumseh called PRETTY POLLY had about $3800 worth of their equipment ripped at a gig in the Irish Hills at St. Joseph's Hall. They had 2 Marshall Bottoms w/Traynor Top, 1 Altec-Lansing P.A., 1 Sunn 2000-s Bass Top, 4 tape recording microphones, two sets of headphones, 1 Farfisa Mini-Combo Organ. REWARD for information leading to the return of two guitars and an amplifier, missing from my car while in Lansing, July 17. DESCRIPTION: One Fender twin reverb amp. approx. 24x30x18. One solid body, Gibson, "S-G", six string electric. Recently refinished dark brown. MOST IMPORTANT is an old Gibson guitar. Called a "hummingbird" because of the pick guard on the face of the instrument, which has an elaborate design of flowers and a hummingbird. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. The Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival is coming! You can get your tickets at the Michigan Union, Salvation Records (330 Maynard), Ned's Books (Ypsilanti) or by mail from Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival, Box 381, Ann Arbor 48107. The tickets are series tickets going for $15 for all three days and all five shows. This is the first time such performers as Sun Ra, Sippi Wallace, Marion Brown, Howlin' Wolf, Dr. John, Archie Shepp, Otis Rush and many others will be playing in Ann Arbor at Otis Spann Memorial Field this coming Sept. 8-9-10. Be sure to get your tickets early as they are selling fast!
