This weeks question: HOW DO YOU ACCOUNT FOR THE INCREASED USE OF HEROIN IN THE COMMUNITY AND WHAT DO YOU THINK CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT? Sarah Brown, street freek: Well, Ithink that alot of people have forgotten what it means to take drugs. Like marijuana, or LSD or something like that are great dut people got bored and ied-up because of the last grass famine there was and there was alot cf junk around so people started getting into that. Muskrat, panhan dier: More wine should be drank and more acid should be in circulation - hundreds of thousands, ten thousand hits of acid ' and more people should get into wine, you know wine's out. Wine and whiskey all the time. Jerry Scott, I college student: There'd definately an increase. . . there's alot of people coming back :rom the war, from the army, Ithink that's one hang-up that there's alot af people doing it over there, bringing it back toa . . I know alot of it is coming from overseas, alot of it is coming back from the army, ALOT of it. Jackie Humbert, flower vendor & student: One thing I didn't know there was an increasel But probably because they try to repress things llke marijuana so much. . . I don't know that much about it. Gary Ir eland, manager, Centicore Books: I think what the Rainbow People's Party and the street people in town are trying to do is probably the best that can be done right now - trying to really explain what a bummer smack is. . .
